On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the State Theatre hosted the 22nd annual Freddy Awards,
and the Chip Rohrbach Foundation awarded it’s first scholarships to Freddy Award
winners!
This year, our scholarship recipients were Cole Faccinetto and Kiersten Rubery, both
from Freedom High School, and both from the production of Nice Work If You Can Get
It. Cole won Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his
performance of Cookie McGee. Kiersten won Outstanding Performance by an Actress
in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Duchess Estonia Dulworth.
Both Cole and Kiersten will receive scholarship awards in the amount of $1000 from the
Chip Rohrbach Foundation to further their education.
Chip loved musical theatre, and more often gravitated toward the supporting roles – his
legacy lives on in supporting these student artists as they move onward! The Chip
Rohrbach Foundation is excited to support these students, and to continue to create
life-changing opportunities for kids to not just experience theater, but to be a part of it -
nurturing their passion, developing their talents, and opening doors for them to shine on
stage—and in life!
